OK. We'll admit it.
We stalked Rob Lowe while he was in town last week, working on his new Potomac Fever project.
But, instead of blasting it out then, we decided to wait until he left Washington, D.C. (because we're selfish and wanted to keep him to ourselves -- and because we didn't want him to have any real stalkers during his visit).
Here's a rundown of the places where we spotted Rob Lowe:
WEDNESDAY:
Rob was spotted at the Senate swearing-in and at M.E. Swing Coffee Co., at 17th and G Streets, NW, sipping some coffee as crews filmed.
Later, we spotted him at his hotel, Hotel Helix, then he dined at every VIP's favorite place, Cafe Milano, in Georgetown.
He left solo, around midnight, in a cab -- but not before our friend, Marky Mark, could grab a pic. Hotness! :-)
THURSDAY:
Rob spent the afternoon on Capitol Hill.
Later that evening (7 to 10 p.m.-ish) Potomac Fever's "proposed cast" and crew attended a cocktail party at Meridian International Center.
We left Yelp's event at the Crime & Punishment Museum as soon as we'd confirmed Rob's location, then we warned him via Foursquare that we were on the move. (We don't think he got that virtual memo, tho.)
We arrived at Meridian, wrote down all license plate numbers in the parking lot, then called them in to our police friends to see who was inside. Simultaneously, we got video tape of all the cast members and reports from the inside from our undercover source. But, since we were hiding in the bushes, our video is a little shady looking.
So, this phone pic -- of Rob and some "proposed" cast members -- will have to do:
Post-party, Rob hung outside for a bit with some blonde, catty biatches that weren't very nice to our friends. Rob, however, was super-sweet.
Afterwards, Rob and a few team members dined at Cashions. No limo. They took two cars -- one was a Maserati convertible, which Ali and I have decided we L.O.V.E. We did have some trouble following it in the big Lincoln SUV, tho. That thing can turn some fast corners.
Here is Rob, outside Cashions, with one of his biggest fans:
P.S. Cashions tweeted that he was there shortly after he arrived, which we viewed as a major fail. Let the man eat in peace!
FRIDAY:
More Potomac Fever filiming. Long day. Here is a pic Rob took with his camera phone, which we swiped from his Twitpic account:
SATURDAY:
Rob's flight back to Los Angeles was delayed a few hours, so he grabbed some coffee at the Starbucks in Dulles airport.
Misson accomplished. Operation Potomac Fever was a raging success.
