The Obamas are usually the ones stealing all of the cool factor from the White House -- but, we definitely can't forget about Joe Biden.

Joe was at a fundraiser in California this week, where he met the parents of Carly Burns, a recent University of Oregon graduate. When they mentioned that Carly was a huge fan of Joe's (she's even kept a newspaper from the 2008 election pinned to her wall) Joe said, "Get her on the phone."

So, he called up Carly and congratulated her on her graduation, telling her that her recent study-abroad experience in Tunisia could come in handy in the Obama Administration.

While some may dismiss actions like these as moves to garner voter support, we think it's really great to see the candidates engaging with the people of the the country.

And, honestly ... could you hate President Obama for writing an absence note for a student who attended one of his events?

DiD yOu KnOw? ... This isn't the first -- and, hopefully, not last -- time Joe has proven himself to be kind of a bad@$$. He also recently called out Mitt Romney on his Swiss bank account, and we caught him trying to run away from the White House once ... via motorcycle.
