The Oscar-winning film ,"To Kill A Mockingbird," which based on Harper Lee's critically acclaimed novel, is celebrating 50 years.
So, in honor of it, President Obama hosted students from a local Virginia school, as well as several celebs who were tied to the film, to watch the movie in the White House's "Family Theater."
The invited guests included:
- Actress Mary Badham Wilt, who plays Scout in the film
- Veronique Peck, widow to Gregory Peck, who plays Atticus Finch
The story touches on all kinds of important topics, such as racial injustice and coming of age, which are still valuable today.
