JetBlue and the government of Puerto Rico woke up sleepy passengers with coffee and donuts this week -- at an event to celebrate "the first capital-to-capital service" between DCA (Reagan National) and SJU (San Juan, Puerto Rico).

Hosting an opening ceremony before the inaugural flight's departure from DCA, Rob Land (Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, JetBlue), Luis Rivera-Marín (Executive Director, Puerto Rico Tourism Company) and Richard Golinowski (Acting Manager, Ronald Reagan National Airport) made speeches and cut  a big blue ribbon at the gate!

Media and special guests were escorted out onto the tarmac to witness the plane being sent off in style with the traditional water canon salute.
