Was there anything more exciting (in high school) than prom?
The dresses, the tuxedo, the corsage ... oh, and the partying.
Yes, the high school prom is generally considered by many to be the entry into the world of adulthood and drinking.
But now it seems many high schools are trying to crack down on the age-old tradition of binge drinking during prom season. How? By making kids take a breathalyzer test before entering the prom. If students pass, then they can enjoy the dance. If they fail, then they're barred from admittance.
OK, so maybe it's been a while since we went to prom, but if we recall properly ... didn't all the drinking happen after the prom?
