
Now that the Court of Appeals has ruled the Defense of Marriage Act as unconstitutional, it looks like DC Comics have decided it's finally OK to have a gay character.
We're a little upset, however, that they took the easy way out on this one.
DC Comics decided to make Alan Scott, the first Green Lantern, homosexual. However, it's not the same Alan you knew from the original DC universe. The outed Lantern comes from "Earth Two," an alternate universe in which there are alternate versions of all of the DC heroes you know and love.
It's a bit of a cop out, but we are glad to see that the comic book world is trying to diversify its heroes!
