Let's talk about Bill Murray.
Yes, the star of "Groundhog Day" and "GhostBusters" – that Bill Murray.
It seems that a young couple wants the legendary comedic actor to bartend at their wedding, so they did the most logical thing ... they put up a website asking him to do it.
According to the site [which you can find here] Steve and Stacey (no last names given) are getting married in Chicago on Nov. 17 and, as the site says, speaking directly to Bill: "If you find yourself without any prior engagements that evening, we were hoping you'd be able to swing through and bartend for a bit."
The whole thing is right up Bill's alley.
Along with ascending into a late career upswing, working with auteur directors like Wes Anderson and Jim Jarmusch, Bill's become something of a hipster urban legend. He's rumored to cover the eyes of strangers on the street from behind then whisper "no one will ever believe you" as he walks away. He's also been known to crash random parties held by cool twenty-somethings.
Add in the documented fact that Bill will only listen to possible project pitches via the voicemail to a number on a non-descript business card he hands out, and you can see why Steve and Stacey created billmurraywillyoubartendourwedding.com.
Still, there's no telling if this scheme will actually work.
But, if it does? Classic Bill Murray.
