Next week, Apple is making a huge announcement.
And, for the first time (ever), the usually taciturn gadget company is giving a MAJOR clue as just what it's debuting.
Invites for the event featured the above image, with a shadowy five created by the number 12, which is the date that Apple says it will present something to the media. Gee, that's about as subtle as getting hit in the head with the actual iPhone 5.
It was around this time last year that everyone was expecting the debut of the fifth iPhone model -- and, instead, we got the iPhone 4S. So, it's kind of understandable that Apple would want to make sure people knew they weren't going to be psyched out again.
Now that all that's been covered, what's new about the new iPhone? Well, according to the rumors, it's got:
- a longer and thinner screen;
- a smaller dock connector;
- and ... nothing else that we know of ...yet.
It is just us or does the build up to the reveal sound more interesting than the product?
