We feel like we're cheating on Apple by talking about this, but we're totally excited to hear about the new Windows 8 tablet -- a.k.a. "Surface" -- that was not-so-secretly introduced at an event this week in Los Angeles.

Rumors point toward the company focusing their energies on merging the world of Xbox with its new tablet somehow, which sounds awesome ... because, let's face it, we end up spending most of our time either on our smartphones or our tablets playing games, anyway.

So, bring on the games, Microsoft!

We can't wait to get our hands on this.
