You're out with your friends, having a few drinks, when you suddenly realize: nobody is sober enough to drive home.
What do you do?
Well, a newly proposed Facebook checkbox -- conceived by kids at the Miami Ad School -- would allow you to hit up one of your friends to play designated driver for the night.
"Smirnoff Guardians" would enable people to check off the "safe ride" option when they comment or like your Facebook posts about going out. The person out drinking would then receive a code s/he could use to redeem either a free ride or cab fare from a Facebook buddy.
So, what's in it for the "Guardians?" They'll receive points they can accumulate towards VIP access to clubs and getting specialty Smirnoff cocktails named after them.
We're all about being safe when you're out having a good time, so we're in love with this idea! We really hope to see it become a reality.
DiD yOu KnOw? ... If you've never heard of "Icing," you're totally late to the game. But, we figured we couldn't write about Smirnoff without reminding everyone about the hilarious and completely silly trend that happens when you sneakily surprise someone with a Smirnoff Ice.
