It's time to admit something shameful: France has gained serious cool points over America.
Why?
Because the Louvre Museum has recently upgraded its audio guides -- it replaced the old ones with new Nintendo 3DSpocket consoles, something we have yet to see in the USA.
The consoles contain interactive maps, sign language videos, and a whole library of tour options. All that it's missing? Video games based on the artwork in the museum. We could totally see this turning museums into the new cool hangout spot for kids.
All righty, Nintendo: It's time to bring this tech to the USA!
... Please?
DiD yOu KnOw? ... We may not have Nintendos in our museums, but we do have some cool things going on -- like the augmented reality app, "Beyond Planet Earth," available for the New York American Museum of Natural History. Planning any museum trips soon? We suggest you check out the museum websites before you do, to see if there's any fun stuff you can download before your visit!
