When you've got it, you've got it.
Case in point: America's youngest gold medalist, Katie Ledecky.
Last week, the 15-year-old Bethesda, Md., native won a gold medal at the Olympics in swimming (800-meter freestyle). But, 13 years ago, she wasn't doing too shabby, either.
Someone on the interwebs found this photo of Katie, chilling with Michael Jordan (winner of gold medals at 1984 and 1992) and Ted Leonsis (an Internet pioneer, businessman and sports-team owner that's worth a lot of gold) in a VIP box, along with her uncle, Jon, who used to be one of Ted's biz partners.
In the pic, she is obviously not concerned with the game that the men are watching. Why? We assume she's making plans for her big 'n' gold 2012 win.
Moral to the story: surround yourself with good people -- because birds of a feather apparently flock together.
DiD yOu KnOw? ... Katie's uncle is also a friend (and former classmate) of Matt Lauer who interviewed her on her big win this week.
