Amy Poehler is a loooong way from Pawnee, Ind.*
The star was surfing the National Mall this past week -- along with her co-stars Adam Scott, Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt -- to film the season five premier of NBC’s "Parks and Recreation."
And, who was there to greet them? None other than Sen. John McCain, who tweeted about his cameo on the show. Sens. Olympia Snowe and Barbara Boxer also briefly stepped in front of the cameras.
Hey, Amy, we wouldn’t mind if you stuck around! Washington, D.C. could use a strong councilwoman, like Leslie Knope.
