Supermodel Elle Macpherson has been an advocate for clean energy for a long time -- and, now, she has a victory for her cause.
The Senate voted today to keep in place the EPA's Mercury and Air Toxic Standards, which limit the amount of mercury that can be pumped into the air by power plants.
Elle previously helped to raise awareness about this issue by writing an op-ed on CNN (here), which was later picked up by Rolling Stone (here).
We love Elle; not only is she a hero for our generation, she's also proving that women can absolutely be intelligent and drop-dead gorgeous!
