Gio Gonzalez is credited as one of the players that's helped to turn the Washington Nationals around this season.
His presence rounded out the Nats pitching staff, while his dominance on the mound has added to the team's winning record.
He's also pretty rich. The left-handed pitcher signed a contract with the team in January valued at $42 million.
But, despite all that, Gio seems to be having trouble getting a date. So much, in fact, that he's taken to Twitter to find a luck lady.
On Tuesday, a little after midnight, he tweeted, "Hey I need a date for the gala on Saturday night, an sexy single ladies interested....." It was followed about an hour with: "Must be 21 or older, please."
Since then, all the gals on Team Glittarazzi (and around the USA) have volunteered to sacrifice their Saturday night for Gio's worthy cause.
