We here at Glittarazzi HQ love a good mystery.

We watch TV crime shows about murder -- and we regularly launch full-scale investigations in the office to try and figure out who ate the last donut. (Ali and KAC play good cop/bad cop ... it's scary.)

So, when we heard that there's a genuine mystery brewing on Capitol Hill, we were intrigued. It's not as dramatic as some of the plot lines on a prime-time CBS show, but it's still mysterious.

Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is missing.

His fellow Illinois Reps have no clue where he is; his staff and wife are staying mum about his location; and, as our boss and resident Twitter fiend, Kelly Ann Collins, notes, "He hasn't tweeted since June 25!"

It all started last month, when Jesse announced he was taking time off due to deal with some medical issues, both physical and emotional. Now, taking a break to get well isn't that big a deal, but Jesse had also just secured the Dem's nomination for Senate, so you can see why people are a little worried.

It also doesn't help that one of Jesse's big fundraisers just got busted by the FBI for bribery and has been suspected of corruption since the day Rob Blagojevich was caught trying to sell President Obama's Senate seat.

Currently, nobody knows either Jesse's location or the state of his health, but we're all hoping for the best.

And, oh, who are we kidding?! We're hooked on this mystery's potential.
