Washington Nationals Sensation Bryce Harper might be excited to hear that he has a new fan -- especially since that fan just so happens to be the President of the United States.
In a recent interview with Las Vegas news station KSNV-TV, the POTUS had some warm words to share about Bryce, a Nevada native.
"We were talking about one of the biggest stars right now in Washington, is Bryce Harper, who comes out of Nevada. I know folks are really proud of him. He's doing great," President Obama said.
Not only did he sing praises for the 19-year-old breakout star, he even talked about how well the Nationals have been doing this season. The POTUS said that the Nats are now his second-favorite team (after the Chicago White Sox, of course).
But, we wonder ... if Bryce keeps being amazing and the Nats keep doing well ... could Barack ever choose to for a Nats win over the Sox?
We won't even try to ask him because we know he'd probably just say, "That's a clown question, bro."
DiD yOu KnOw? ... If there's one thing we can appreciate in a politician, it's that value loyalty over simple crowd-pleasing. That's why we were kind of happy to hear that President Obama will always be a Chicago sports fan -- even during a tough re-election year!
