Newt Gingrich might be the political patriarch of the clan, but he is the first to admit that he lacks melodious ability.
(Though this doesn’t include any puppet alter egos he may have.)
He leaves the singing to his niece, Suzi Brown, a singer-songwriter based in central Pennsylvania. The 24-year-old pursues her music career with her relation to the former Speaker relatively under the radar, but Newt tweeted his support for her the other day when she entered a song-writing contest on Indaba.
Suzi submitted her song, “Spring,” for the $10,000 prize and currently holds 7th place.
