Meet Bill Lockyer.

He's a bit of big deal in the world of California state politics.

The 70-year-old Democrat is currently serving as the financially strapped state's treasurer and, at one time, was its attorney general.

Bill's got a bit of a problem, though: his wife Nadia, who is 30 years his junior and works as a California county supervisor.

At one point, their marriage was described as a "political powerhouse," but that's all over because Nadia is out of control! In fact, for the past two months, things in the Lockyer house have been like a soap opera.

It all started in late February when reports started surfacing that Nada was the victim of an alleged domestic violence incident at a hotel, which required police and medical treatment. It seems that she had gotten into an altercation with a man whom she met in rehab and had an affair.

Then, more details came out.

There were tales of her husband, trying to get a restraining order to keep the ex-con meth-addict boyfriend away from his wife, but authorities couldn't do anything because "it was a consensual relationship." Oh, and then there was the supposed sex tape the guy sent to Bill -- along with dirty text messages originaly from Nadia. Though our favorite part was when Nadia sent emails to reporters, accusing her husband of keeping her addicted to drugs and then claiming her account had been hacked.

But now, it seems to be all over.

Nadia has resigned as Alameda County's supervisor on Friday, started going back to rehab, and gave an exhaustive interview with a Bay Area news group about the entire ordeal. She claims that she and Bill were staying together.

Well, at least we still have the John Edwards trial to get our political sex drama-fix.
