Thursday evening, we rocked out during the VMAs, then we got some organic popcorn and sat down to watch Barack Obama accept the Democratic presidential nomination.

It was all DNC fun and games at Glittarazzi HQ until Co-Founder Ali Lewis yelled, "Barack is missing a tooth!"

Now, Ali knows this feeling well since she got a tooth knocked out last year. (You can sort of see it in this miserable video.) But, despite the fact that we know Ali can spot a missing-tooth situation very well ... we ignored her.

Then, all of a sudden, we were all like, "OMG! Barack really is missing a tooth or chipped a tooth or something!"

And so, we don't know what he said during his speech (we were too busy, trying to take pics and video of it - see below). However, we do know a few things: [1] Ke$ha was also missing a tooth Thursday night, which must mean it's in style; [2] NHL Capitals Player Alex Ovechkin is missing a tooth and nobody messes with him; and [3] this is really no big deal, but the poor guy will probably have to fight tooth-and-nail through the next two weeks, listening to missing-teeth jokes.

Speaking of jokes ... what did the tooth say to POTUS Barack Obama? Fill me in when you get back from the DNC.

Did you know? ... It's really hard to talk when you have one of those retainer-style (fake, temporary tooth) things in your mouth. Check out the video of Ali slurring [here] with Rick Santorum on the GOP campaign trail in Iowa. If she sounds funny to you it's because she lost a tooth - just like Barack- and got a temporary one before her permanent implant could be installed. That is probably why Barack didn't wear a fake tooth - because what is worse than a missing tooth? Slurry words on a stage.
