We hit up Philadelphia this week to hear Alicia Keys, Valerie Jarrett and Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz speak at an Obama campaign event.
The theme of the event was female empowerment -- so, you know we couldn't miss out!
The "Women Vote 2012 Summit" encouraged ladies to get out and use their right to vote to shape the future of our country.
"As a mother and a daughter, I know there is too much at stake in the upcoming elections to sit on the sidelines," Alicia said about the event. "As a new mom, I am going to do everything I can to reelect the President because this election will determine where we go as a country and what kind of world my child will grow up in."
We love seeing such strong female role models standing up for the causes they believe in and showing other women why they should be doing so, as well.
No matter what political ideology you believe in, if you're not registered to vote you should do so, here.
DiD yOu KnOw? ... Alicia may be speaking at an Obama event but, she also encourages all people to go out and vote. Check out her video for Rock The Vote, here.
