We are truly intrigued by Mitt Romney's decision to hire Richard Grenell -- an openly gay foreign policy spokesman.

Mainly, because, well, Mitt is opposed to gay marriage.

He's fought the issue many times and has even claimed that every child has the right to a father and mother.

Meanwhile, Richard has been openly and outspokenly gay in the political world for years. Back when he worked for the United Nations, he fought to have his partner's information added to their "Blue Book" -- a phone book for diplomatic personnel and their spouses. (He was denied this privilege because they could not legally be married in New York at the time.)

This could mean one of two things:

• Mitt didn't even know someone hired Richard.
• This is a publicity stunt and money really talks (to Richard).

Nevertheless, this could get kind of messy and we love it!
